Crystal Details: In fact, it was named after Johann Fuchs, a German mineralogist. Also known as Chrome Mica and Green Muscovite, is a chromium rich variety of the mineral muscovite, belonging to the mica group of phyllosilicate minerals.
Chemical Composition: K(Al,Cr)2(Si3AlO10)(OH)2
Hardness: On Mohs scale of mineral hardness - grade 2-3.5 (1 being softest, 10 being hardest)
Colour: Light green to emerald green depending upon chromium content

Historical Uses/Folklore: In Brazil, due to its shimmering appearance, Fuschite was considered a gift from Lemanja, the Sea Goddess. It is believed to grant blessings with the promise of good fortune. Called the ‘Fairy or Wish crystal’ because of its green and gold flecks that resemble sparkling fairy dust. This stone has also been labeled as a “Healer Crystal” for its popularity among shamans.
