Placed around the home, worn as jewellery or simply held in the hand they remind us of our relationship with nature and Mother Earth.

It is known that crystals, due to their atomic makeup, hold heat and focus light energy, the often used example is quartz crystals being used in watches to generate an electric charge. Beyond this, it is said that crystals and gemstones have different energies that can be used to enhance your own energetic vibrations. Each gemstone is known for its unique 'energetic' properties.

How to Take Care of Your Malachite Pendant

Malachite gemstones should be stored inside a fabric-lined box or wrapped in a soft cloth. Malachite is very soft, and brittle- as well as being extremely sensitive to both heat and acids. It is rated about 3.5-4 on the Mohs hardness scale, so they should be kept away from other gemstones and jewellery to ensure they do not get scratched by any harder gemstones or damage any that may be softer.

To clean, just wash in warm soapy water using a soft brush, rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth, we do not recommend ultrasonic cleaners or steamers. It is a good idea to remove any jewellery before doing any physical activity such as sports, housework or gardening.
