Crystal Details: Orbicular Jasper is a name given to a highly silicified rhyolite or tuff that has quartz and feldspar crystallized into radial aggregates of needle-like crystals forming orbicular (spherical) structures. The name Ocean Jasper is used for a variety found along the intertidal shores of northeast Madagascar.

Chemical Composition: SiO₂ -Sodium Dioxide with inclusions

Hardness:  On Mohs scale of mineral hardness - grade 6.5 - 7 (1 being softest, 10 being hardest)

Colour: Ocean Jasper is a beautiful gem material, identified by a unique pattern of eyes, or "orbs" on a swirling, striped background of vibrant colour.
