Crystal Details: An opaque variety of Jasper with scenic picture-like formations created by colour banding and flow patterns. Picture Jasper (Scenic Jasper) is so named because it displays patterns and colours resembling forest scenes, mountain vistas or other fanciful natural images. 

Chemical Composition: Sodium Dioxide - SiO₂

Hardness:  On Mohs scale of mineral hardness - grade 6.5 - 7 (1 being softest, 10 being hardest)

Colour:  Brown with black and dark brown markings
