Origin:  Africa.

Crystal Details: African Turquoise is in fact a variety of Jasper that is mined in Africa. Its colour comes from quartz, copper and iron.

Chemical Composition: CuAl6 (PO4)4(OH)84H2O

Hardness:  On Mohs scale of mineral hardness - grade 6.5-7 (1 being softest, 10 being hardest)

Colour:  Blue-green, teal and black
